Great news!

Rounds 1 & 2 of this year’s tour will be at the Wichita River Festival! That’s right folks, right in the heart of downtown Wichita, on the beautiful Big Arkansas River, in the midst of 40-50,ooo people every day. This race is the main event on the water, during the premier event for the city of Wichita. These rounds will take place on the river, between the Douglas & Maple street bridges, so high visibility will only add to the excitement. Along with our race, there are plenty of other attractions within 2 blocks of the course, including a massive food court, live music, carnival, and plenty of activities for the kids and adults alike.

Ruonds 1 & 2

These rounds will be held in conjunction with the Wichita River Fest. Its the biggest Festival that is put on in Wichita with a estimated 40,000 to 50,000 people attending daily. With a event this size there some rules and requests that must be followed. The schedule is as follows;

7:45am McLean closes

7:45-9:00 setup and tech insp.

9:00 am riders meeting

9:45 course practice

10:30 1st motto

1:00 lunch and freestyle

2:00 2nd motto

5:00 pm Race closes down

6:00 pm Mclean reopens (Saturday)

7:00 pm McLean reopens (Sunday)

No one is allowed on McLean blvd until it closes. McLeod blvd is for racers only, racers are allowed to park on the east side of the street only. The west side (south bound side) must remain vehicle free. If you need a place to park until 7:45am There is space around the boat ramp that is located south of Gander Mountain underneath the Kellogg Ave. Other than that Boat ramp we will have a small ramp in the pit area. No four wheeler will be allowed on site unless approved by race director. There will be two authorized 4 wheelers present to haul your ski and equipment down to pit area. No 4 wheeler will be permitted on city streets.

It will be important to be ready to race when your class is up. With a large crowd spectators we will need to keep the action going.

The races have to be finished by 5:00pm each day and the vehicles off McLean by 6:00 pm on Sat. and 7:00pm on Sunday .

Person with motor homes or who want to camp Blasi Campgrounds 11409 W. Kellogg (316-722-2681) offer these facilities Nightly rates are $26.00 for up to 26‘ with full hookups . Please make reservation cause they do fill up during river fest. Persons who want to stay in a hotel La Quinta Inn and Suites at 5500 West Kellogg Dr. has given us a block of rooms. Nightly rates are $79.00 (316-943-2181). Tell them you are there for the jet ski races. Again make a reservations early cause they could sell out.

Awards for Rounds 1 & 2

The Main Event classes will have a set payout of $500. 1st -$250. 2nd -$150. 3rd -$100. 4th for each day. 1st -3rd awards will be given for all classes. 50% pay outs on all Premier and outlaw classes with 6 or more on the line.

    Terry will we be able to stay the night in our inclosed trailers. Will that road be closed all weekend. If not were can we stay? I know your busy but please let us now as soon as you can so we can make arrangements. Thanks Jerod
