Great news!

Rounds 1 of this year’s tour will be at the Wichita River Festival! That’s right folks, right in the heart of downtown Wichita, on the beautiful Big Arkansas River, in the midst of 40-50,ooo people every day. This race is the main event on the water, during the premier event for the city of Wichita. These rounds will take place on the river, between the Douglas & Maple street bridges, so high visibility will only add to the excitement. Along with our race, there are plenty of other attractions within 2 blocks of the course, including a massive food court, live music, carnival, and plenty of activities for the kids and adults alike.

Round 1

The schedule is as follows;

7:00 am Registration begins ( there is no preregistration)

7:00-9:00 setup and tech inspection .

8:30 am riders meeting (Sat) 8:00 (Sun)

9:30 course practice (sat.) 8:30 (Sun)

10:30 1st motto (Sat) 9:30 (Sun)

12:00 Main Event mottos (Sat) 11:30 (Sun)

2:00 2nd motto 12:00 (Sun)

4:00 pm Race closes down ( Sat) 2:30 (Sun)

2012 race info: This year pit area is south of Gander Mountain 605 S. Wichita Street. This is where the boat ramp is located. Over nite parking will be allowed there but check first with the race director for available spots.    No 4 wheeler will be permitted on city streets.

Main Event Mottos will start at 12:00pm followed by Free Style

Main Event classes will be determind Sat Morning

It will be important to be ready to race when your class is up. With a large crowd spectators we will need to keep the action going.

The races have to be finished by 4:00 pm on Saturday and 2:30 on Sunday.

We will be using  four motto scoring to determined awards. Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, place.  Awards will be presented after Sundays racing.

Persons who want to stay in a hotel La Quinta Inn and Suites at 5500 West Kellogg Dr. has given us a block of rooms. Nightly rates are $79.00 (316-943-2181). Tell them you are there for the jet ski races. Again make a reservations early cause they could sell out.
